Why received IPv6 Router Advertisement are dropped by kernel when in
forwarding mode?
Is it a feature or a bug?
I can't find anything in RFCs telling such a thing.
I'm assuming you mean why doesn't a router auto-configure an IPv6
address? For that, see Section 1 of RFC 2461:
"The autoconfiguration process specified in this document applies only
to hosts and not routers."
Routers do process RAs for other purposes, like MIPv6.
