Is anyone aware of a way to get the kernel to update its ARP cache based on ANY ARP response that is seen on an interface? Would it require the interface to be in promiscuous mode?

Alternatively,

Is there a way in arptables or ebtables to place any ARP replies in the local ARP cache?
