dm9000 handles two interfaces?

I'm debugging a piece of hardware that has two dm9000's on the bus.
They each work independently, but when both are enabled, we are seeing
some peculiar behaviors: the led's are dim, traffic appears on both
interfaces even though we know one of them is idle, one of the
interfaces cycles through dropping the link and restoring it.

The question is simple, is anyone using the dm9000 driver in kernel
2.6.16 or later with more than one dm9000 chip?

Cheers.
