Hi to al of you ! I use Slackware with the last 2.6.18 linux kernel on a sony vaio laptop. Mylaptop ( VGN-SZ2VP ) has a Yukon Marvel ethernet card. On big loads on the eth0 happens that the device gets disabled. I see the following in my /var/log/messages: Sep 25 13:23:46 localhost kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out Sep 25 13:23:46 localhost kernel: sky2 status report lost? Sep 25 13:23:51 localhost kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out Sep 25 13:23:51 localhost kernel: sky2 status report lost? Sep 25 13:23:54 localhost kernel: sky2 eth0: disabling interface This is very anoying as every time I want to print a photo or a bigger file to my network printer it stops all the net. Happens also with transferring big files by ftp or ssh. Limiting the trafic to something about 200kb/s it works but not all the times. Can somebody propose a sollution or what can I do ? Many thanks for your time and best regards.
