thanks for testing! I've also checked the diffs from 1.0.8 to 1.0.10 and 
ieee802.11 1.1.6 to 1.1.9 and couldn't find anything that would have fixed 
this bug.

I'll tack yet another notice onto the bugzilla entry...

Well, I feel more and more tempted to send my ipw fixes directly to netdev for 
kernel integration, so may be it is interesting for them after all ;-)
