Memory Leak - skbuff_head_cache

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I am running Linux kernel 2.4.19..

I have a wireless system which has two Ethernet interfaces and one
wireless interface. I am facing a problem with memory leaks
(specifically, I can see that the skbuff_head_cache is increasing all
the time - the rate of increase is roughly 1 block (of 160 bytes) every
minute, but this is again not very consistent).

In order to isolate this, I put a bridge across the two Ethernet
interface and then ran a fastping script. In this, I could see a memory
leak. In the case of ONLY wireless interface running and a client
sending data to this, I could again see a memory leak, when I ran a
fastping script.

If I stop the flow of data (stop the ping), even then the
skbuff_head_cache count does not come down..

Can anyone help me to figure out the way to track this memory leak.

Best Regards
Ravi.
