realtek 8139too driver problem in 2.6.14 kernel

I have a system with an on-board realtek 8101 ethernet controller. It works
well with the 2.4 kernel, but not with the 2.6.14.3 kernel.
When I do a ping to a device on my network, it gets a "destination host
unreachable" A ifconfig -a shows it is configured correctly. Ethereal shows
4 ARP broadcasts with correct responses. A arp -a shows nothing in the
table. When the 2.6 kernel is active, ifconfig shows an IRQ of 11 and base of 2000. When the 2.4 kernel is active ifconfig shows an IRQ of 10 and a base of
2000. When the 2.6 kernel has booted the messages file indicates that the
SATA driver is also using an IRQ of 11.

If any more info is needed my Email address is wsteffen@xxxxxxxxxxx
