[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

[1.] One line summary of the problem:
my X crashed at low memory condition running X programs remotely

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

I was running Mozilla, OpenOffice and some other X programs remotely using "ssh -X servername", there were about ~50 windows open and at some desktop switching my X crashed.

The only message I got is at /var/log/syslog:

Mar 22 15:42:44 madar kernel: KERNEL: assertion (!sk->sk_wmem_queued) failed at net/core/stream.c (278)
Mar 22 15:42:44 madar kernel: KERNEL: assertion (!sk->sk_wmem_queued) failed at net/ipv4/af_inet.c (151)

My XFree86 version is
XFree86 Version 4.3.0.1 (Debian 4.3.0.dfsg.1-8 20040928112350 fabbione@xxxxxxxxxxxx)

The problem is not reproduceable.

[3.] Keywords (i.e., modules, networking, kernel):

ipv4, remote, smc_ultra, X

[4.] Kernel version (from /proc/version):

Linux version 2.6.10 (nmarci@nemeth) (gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-5)) #3 Sat Feb 19 12:43:08 CET 2005

[5.] Output of Oops.. message (if applicable) with symbolic information

resolved (see Documentation/oops-tracing.txt)

[6.] A small shell script or example program which triggers the

problem (if possible)

[7.] Environment

[7.1.] Software (add the output of the ver_linux script here)

# sh scripts/ver_linux If some fields are empty or look unusual you may have an old version. Compare to the current minimal requirements in Documentation/Changes.
