how Linux TCp stack respond for 6000 acks

Hi,
  " How does the "Linux TCP/IP stack" respond for 6000(the number is
anything greater than 200 not necessarily 6000) duplicate acks", with
the last highes acknowledged packet being 10. The Iris is responding
positively by sending the number of packets in its current window and
retransmitting the same number of packets after Retransmit time
outs....
