eth1 changing into dev****

Hi,

Please let me know it this not the appropriate newsgroup.

I run Taolinux (a redhat enterprise 3.0 linux clone), up to date. I have one onboard 3com 920 and a pci 3com 905 network card. Recently, the pci card stopped working, and I found out that the device name wasn't eth1 anymore, it was something like dev14848. I tried re-detecting it with kudzu and it gave another dev*****. The other card works perfectly on eth0.

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks,

Ugo
