kernel freeze with r8169 in GB mode

Hi all,

I do not know if my problem is related to the problem recently reported.

My box freezes when tranfering a lot of data between another Box with the same NIC.

This occured ONLY when the boxes are connected via a 1GB switch. When connected via a 100MBit switch they are working w/o any problems at all.

Sometimes I get errors in dmesg like "eth0: Too much work at interrupt!"

Currently both boxes are running Kernel 2.6.8-rc1.

Would be nice to get some hints if I made something wrong. If I can provide more/better informations let me know...

rgds

Luc
