Hi,
I was happily using my Linux box when the network went down.
Dmesg told me that was:
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out

I've seen that it is an old issue for old kernel, but I'm using the 2.6.6 version.
I've also tried with the 2.6.5. Disabling the ACPI, rmmodding and insmodding
the sis900 modules was useless.
Checking the syslog I've also seen that this problem happened the 5th of May.
But, without my notice, it was auto magically resolved! I don't know what happened, and that
day I didn't notice it because I thought that it was my fault.
When I tried my wifi pcmcia card I've got this from the hostap drivers:

Then the high brightness of the monitor illuminated me.
It was the sonypi module! Every time that I load or unload the module,
the pcmcia receives his signal, but only that time. So the solution is
to never load the sonypi module or I have to reboot.
