Request for information regarding performance of Intel CSA link NICs with e1000 driver

<< I apologize for polluting the list with my mis-directed subscription request :-) >>

I am a Ph.D student at Cornell University. I am researching modifications to the traditional network stack for improving scalability.

I frequently hit the 33Mhz/32bit PCI bottleneck on the 82547EM. Recently, I have looked into the Intel MAC/PHY (82547EI/82547GI) with CSA interface. I would like to find performance numbers of this hardware with the Linux e1000 driver. Any information would be helpful, although I am particularly interested in results that strictly exercise only network I/O, that is, in memory to memory transfers, such as over iperf or netpipe, and in both full/half duplex configuration.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Alan
