driver 3c59x sends too short packets (2.4.x)

Hello!

I observe, that ethernet driver 3c59x sends packets that are shorter than
defined minimal size of ethernet packet. (I can see this behaviour by ethereal
on ARP packets, ICMP - ping x.y.z.w -s 1, etc). There is no padding to the
minimal size of ethernet packet. I run kernel 2.4.21 (MDK). I beleive this is
a bug...
