Hmm, I don't think I've even seen such a machine yet ... 

I was interested because I'm working with a pci chipset that makes 
certain pci errors behave as if the card was surprise-unplugged. 
So I thought the hot-plug infrastructure might be a good one to 
use to reset the adapter in these cases.
