Scheduler Issue (in Xfree86) 2.6 stable Kenel

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have recently upgraded to the new Stable 2.6 Kernel. Most of everything works fine. System boots, XFree86 loads, (with direct rendering working), same with sound, but the cursor will "jerk" around the screen, not smooth. Programs and my games also do this. Basically the cursor freezes for 1/2 second and then i can work again. This happens quite frequently, and consistently, with about 3-5 second intervals, inbetween. I can fix the X cursor from doing this by reniceing X from 0 to -10, and then the cursor moves smooth, but this doesn't stop my Programs and Games from doing this. Thank you for your help, i have included some info in the attachments that i was told to give you.
