Yes, and I have done 60 MB/second and more, but had to increase the MTU slightly to get over 90 MB/second TCP transfers. Something must be not quite right. Note that bing doesn't actually do a bandwidth test from host to host, it tries to estimate bandwidth by using varying packet sizes. The interrupt coalescing in the tg3 driver may be throwing off these tests. Try using FTP or a more simple test to measure TCP throughput.
