   Ok that's a good point so I spent some time to read some of the IPv6 RFCs 
   and I think
   the following extracts from RFC 2464 "IP Version 6 Addressing 
   Architecture" will resolve all doubt :
   
Maybe you can implement this by not putting "ipv6 stuff" into
the generic netdevice structure?

I'm not accepting the changes until this is fixed.
