TCP window setting via route

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I've tried to avoid coming to this list for this, but I've spent the last day
and a half trying to get results out of setting window size per route. At
least tcpdump reports the same window sizes of about 5K.

Using route as:
route add default gw ######## window ######## [dev]
or
route add -host ######## window ##### [dev]

Does show the window setting to be changed, however. Using tcpdump to examine
the syn's/ack's there is no change.

I'm connected to 3 different networks with varying latencies and don't want to
change my system settings with sysctl, /proc, I would rather have individual
control over each route.

I've also tried changing the /proc/net/ipv4 and core settings to no avail -
again according to tcpdump.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
