I Followed earlier suggestions of enlarging the socket buffer sizes for our application and the errors are gone.

I have yet to see whether the performance is better/worse than 4.1.7 due to other problems.

Anyhow I'm planning on migrating to 4.4.12 but haven't found any clear information on what it improves. Is there a list somewhere (besides Private VLANs which aren't important to me).

Thanks,
Yuval

Yuval, try the 4.4.12 version. It has better flow control settings. Is you
switch configured for flow control? Are you getting RX FIFO errors or Rx
Dropped errors?
