I have a really weird problem I can't figure out. I am unable to send email to some networks because the destination mail server refuses to connect. But if I connect to the mail server from a host inside my private ip-masqueraded lan it works. Here is what happens: >From my mail server: mailserver:~# telnet remote.mailserver.com 25 Trying xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx... telnet: connect to address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Connection refused But if I attempt from my box that is behind the ip masquerading firewall I get: orion:~> telnet remote.mailserver.com 25 Trying xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx... Connected to remote.mailserver.com. Escape character is '^]'. 220 *************************************2******2**********0 ****2002**2**0*****0*00 Anyone have an idea why connections from the public mail server don't work but from inside the masqueraded lan they do?
