Intel NIC problems with 2.4.19 and 2.5.33 kernel ...

Hello,

I have seen this problem with differnet Intel Gige
NICs. I am using an Intel E7500 based motherboard with
dual gige nics onboard (82544 GC). The 2.4.19 e1000
driver (version 4.3.2) throws the message:

Link down, watchdog reset

and the system never comes up.

Now, I see the same behavior with the Gige NICs 82544
EI and 82546.

On using the 2.5.33 kernel against all the 3 NICs
mentioned above, I see the following:

eth0: NETDEV transmit timed out
eth1: NETDEV transmit timed out

Is there any fix around this?

Thanks
Manish
