bridging+ipfilter problem???

dear all,
I have a box which is acting as a "local multicast packet distributor".
it receives multicast traffic from multiple net sources, merges them via
bridging and does almost nothing of iptable stuff. it runs mrouted.

After a few seconds of activity, I get a kernel oops in bridge stuff,
always when another similar box (it is fed by the same sources) is
injecting the same net traffic. so on the LAN, we generate duplicate
packets but I thought it was not a problem now that I'm doing some testing.

the oops dump is clearly in the softirq path, on receiving some
packets.... I know I'm really un-detailed but maybe it is a known
issue... otherwise I have to start debugging it the hard way :)

kernel is RH 2.4.18-4

thx
d.
