Oops, in my fixed code (the second segment), take out the #if block. 
Other than that, yeah, any comments would be cool.
What it should look like:
  if (pcnet32_debug > 2)
      printk (KERN_DEBUG "pcnet32: pcnet32 media value %#x\n", media);
  media &= ~3;
