How To Disable NETDEV WATCHDOG

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!

Linux 2.4.18 with ne2000 compatible ISA nic.

If I connect the 10 baseT cable to the nic and boot
the kernel, everything is ok and fast. But if the
network cable is unplugged, the booting and the
connections from clients are slow. When the network
cable is disconnected, I see repeated special
messages when booting:

kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out

I don't intend to always connect this box to network
hub. How do I speed things up (by forcing NETDEV
WATHDOG stop probing?)?

Thank you in advance!
