Ethernet driver as a learning tool

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I'd like to learn how an ethernet driver works, down to the details...
What driver do you think I should look at preferably?

This is what seems important to me, by order of importance:
- the card hardware manual is available online
- the hardware is not ugly, the device driver had not to fight the card
- the code is easy to understand given the hardware manual
- the card is a well known one, not an obscure relic from 10 years ago

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
