Problem connecting to PC through NFS

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello and thank you for any clever advice

I recently upgraded from kernel 2.2 to 2.4

> uname -a
Linux pc022lrmf 2.4.8-26mdk #1 Sun Sep 23 17:06:39 CEST 2001 i686 unknow

Meanwhile, I lost my ability to connect through NFS to some of the
computers in my local network (only Windows PC with NFS server, whereas
I can still connect to UNIX servers).

For example, when I try to connect to a PC NFS server called pc075lrmf,
I get :

> mount pc075lrmf:/D /mnt/test/
mount: RPC: unable to receive; errno = Connection refused

1/ I pinged and verified if pc075lrmf is listening

2/ I looked at hosts.allow and hosts.deny which are ok

3/ I looked at pc075lrmf with showmount
> showmount -e pc075lrmf
Export list for pc075lrmf:
/D (everyone)
/E (everyone)

4/ I tried rpcinfo and got
rpcinfo: can't contact port mapper
rpcinfo -u pc075lrmf portmap says that version 2 to 4 of program 100000
are ready but
rpcinfo -t pc075lrmf portmap says that program 100000 is not working

????
