Hello! We have strange arp problems in our net and I hope you can help us. Topology: Cisco (x.x.225.1) | Network (x.x.255.0/24) | | Some hosts | |(x.x.225.254) Router (Linux 2.4.17) |(x.x.221.2) | |Network (x.x.221.0/24) | | Some hosts - If I snoop on network 255.0 I see from time to time packets like this: ARP-REQ from[<MAC>] x.x.221.2 to [<allzero>] x.x.225.13 APR-REP from [<MAC>] x.x.225.13 to [<MAC>] x.x.221.2 1. IMHO the LinuxRouter should use his 225 Network address to query for a host in the 225 network. 2. echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/all/arp_filter doesn't help. Is there a patch to correct this 'misbehaviour' ? Best Regards, G.
