I'm sure you've tried smbmount //work/c /whateverdirectory . You could also do that with backslashes (\), but if so, it must be double: smbmount \\\\work\\c \\whateverdirectory . Your problem might be in your smb.conf file (located in /etc or /etc/samba). Check to make sure encrypt passwords = yes under [global]. the gyzmo -----Original Message----- From: Forum Linux <frmlnx@dapsys.com> Date: Wed, 26 Dec 2001 08:42:26 GMT To: linux-net@vger.kernel.org Subject: Mounting on Linux with Samba a Windows exported directory > Happy new year to all ! > > My question is very simple, meanwhile I spent a few > time trying unsuccessfully to find the answer by myself: > > Assume a Window$ 98 system named \\WORK having C directory exported > > How can I mount \\WORK\C on my Linux system using Samba ? > > Regards > > E.
