Hi!

My distribution is debian potato 2.2 upgraded to 2.4.13 kernel and all
additional utilities as described in Changes.

gcc version 2.95.2 20000220 (Debian GNU/Linux)

/lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.1.3.so

Motherboard is Intel with 815 chipset, CPU Celeron (Coppermine), RAM
256MB

insmod eepro100 gives:

eepro100.c:v1.09j-t 9/29/99 Donald Becker

eepro100.c: $Revision: 1.36 $ 2000/11/17 Modified by Andrey V.

PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 01:08.0
eth0: Intel Corporation 82820 (ICH2) Chipset Ethernet Controller,
00:03:47:A4:A9:0E, IRQ 11.
Board assembly 000000-000, Physical connectors present: RJ45
Primary interface chip i82555 PHY #1.
  General self-test: passed.
  Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
  Internal registers self-test: passed.
  ROM checksum self-test: passed (0x04f4518b).

The problem: when I do anything over Ethernet, computer "totally"
freezes at some random time from few minutes to few hours.
When I don't work over net it works flawlessly. PPP also works without
problems.

I suspect that the source of the problem is hardware (hardly) or driver
for Ethernet card?

Can anyone give any advice what to do?

Milan
