Hi I need to reduce the MTU of Ethernet drivers on my Linux box. In drivers/net/net_init.c there is a function ether_setup(), where dev->mtu is set (1500). If I change this value for my requirements, will this be sufficient for the stack to do fragmentation according to this new size (I want to use 1496 bytes.) Or are there other things I need to do?
