multiple tables for routing

Hi

I am new to linux kernel. I need to have two routing tables in my
kernel. One is the standard routing table and the other one will be used
in special cases. Can I implement this using the CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES
option provided by linux? What is the significance of the fib_rules being
set when this option is used? Could anyone help me with this or provide
me some pointers where I can find this information (Right now, I don't
have any other documents except the kernel code)

Thanks in advance

regards
Madhavi.
