Gents - 

   I apologize...my initial question was too vague...

   I'm using RedHat 7.0, and I'm looking at the
tcp_output (v. 1.108.2.6) and tcp_input (v.
1.164.2.15) files for their checksum handling.  

   For normal data (connection in ESTABLISHED state),
which subroutines actually compute the checksum for
the data field, and where is that checksum then
incorporated into the TCP header?  

   Sorry for the initial confusion...
