Hi Jens, 

I suspect your ethernet card is 3c905CX (note: CX).  If so, then use
'3c59x' driver from 2.2.19 kernel.  Or, you can download Andrew Morton's
2.2.19pre11 driver from <http://www.uow.edu.au/~andrewm/linux/>.
