do it work on 2.2.X ? or is it something instable ?

my goal is to have a box (with 2-3 atm carts) connected to a cisco 7200 
(ethernet connection between),  which would allow make a pvc/vpn 
solution on DS3/E3. Is it something which would be stable on linux ?
