Traffic control (iproute tc) on fast networks

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Does anyone have any experience with traffic control (i.e. the "tc"
stuff in Linux iproute) on fast networks? Is it practical (and if so
what sort of hardware resources would it take) to do address+port tc
restrictions on
 (1) fast ethernet
 (2) multiple fast ethernets
 (3) gigabit ethernet
 (4) faster than gigabit network (viz. the internal ~300MByte/sec
     inter-guest TCP bandwidth of Linux/390).
