PROBLEM: Connection timeouts when hitting certain sites with linux2.4

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Please CC me on any replies, I am not on the list.

1. Connection timeouts when hitting certain sites with linux2.4
2. Using kernels test9 and the pre's to test10, I have this problem
where some sites will not start a connection with me. Some sites are
www.amazon.com www.fool.com www.sharkyextreme.com. Other sites like
yahoo continue to work fine. Tcpdump seems to indicate that I never
get any packets from from those sites. I am behind a freeBSD NAT box.
All the other machines behind the box (Windows NT, Windows 2k, linux 2.2)
do not seem to have these problems. I have also tried to use a Solaris 2.6 box
with ipfilter as the NAT. I also have the same problems. When I do
revert to the standard RedHat kernel it will work again. I would try it in front
of the NAT but this is an office environment that I can't screw around with
it too much.
