SMC-Ultra Tx timeouts.....

First, a little background info:

I've got a P200 running Linux (2.2.18) with an SMC-Ultra (ISA), which is
connected to a 10Base-T hub. Initially, I had just this machine plugged into
a Notrel 1Mbps modem - no problems. Now, my roomate finally got his own box
(Windows ME). I picked up a hub, some cable, and found an old 486 which is
now a firewall. Somewhere during this process, I started getting this error
message when I'm on the net (thru the firewall):

eth0: Tx timed out, cable problem? TSR=0xc0, ISR=0x0, t=[varies]

*The windows ME box has no problems connecting......

What I've been doing is stopping and then restarting eth0, which gives me
full bandwidth for ~1-5 minutes, after which I end up at about 4k/s. I've
replaced the cable (with one I know is good), tried different ports on the
hub. I made sure the windows box isn't doing anything stupid (ie grabbing
full duplex). I've tried kernels 2.2.14,15,17, and 2.2.18 all with the same
results. I haven't been able to get the 2.4.0test series working - I'm
guessing that its a pnp problem....

I'm pretty sure the card is still OK - haven't had a problem besides this
since I bought it.....

Any suggestions would be great....if you need more info, let me know.
