HELP!!!!!!
 i couldnt post this question normally but it has taken quite a bit of
time!!!!!
I am trying to install the MROUTED and in my effort trying to untar it and
comiple it..After the taring there are only one level of directories and
files and if i attempt to make it it looks for files ip_mroute.h which is
not created at all from the TAR BALL...please let me know if someone has
succeded in installing beta-3 on linux. And any pointers to this are most
welcome.

This is typically handled by a user-space daemon such as mrouted or mrtd.
For mrouted try:  
http://sunsite.org.uk/packages/videoconference/mrouted/
ftp://ftp.research.att.com/dist/fenner/mrouted/

For mrtd try:  
http://www.mrtd.net

I haven't played around with them since the 2.0.x kernel so I probably
can't help you much further.
