FTP Macros

Has anyone had any success with ftp macros on a remote site that's a
node on the Internet? If so, please explain what you did to make them
work.

I used every proper syntax with the macros and they only work within
my local network. When I call them at the ftp prompt at the remote
site that's a node on the Internet . . . I get a response that they
don't exist.

Note: Detailed Document(s) and Sample(s) are more than welcome.
When you reply to this message, please include
