There is no reasonable cause to use v2.0.32 that I can think of. Whoever Marcello is, he's correct in that make clean isn't needed when you use make mrproper, but you shouldn't have to use mrproper. make menuconfig make dep make clean make zImage should do the thing normally. Are you sure your binutils are correctly installed?
