What you set on your local machine won't (under normal conditions) be
send to the DNS server.  You should ask the administrator of
bflsoftware.com (most probably sth. like dnsmaster@bflsoftware.com)
to add a A-record referring the name linux(.bflsoftware.com.) to your
IP-adress.
