Well, I actually prefer the idea of driving git archive for the
release/push targets. And it's mostly just for me, so I think it's
fine :) But I'll make sure the dist target gets fixed up too.

I like some of the other git stuff in udev, will probably borrow those
ideas to make updating the changelog, etc. automatic.
