removal of modprobe -o

The numdummies parameter cannot replace being able to load new copies
of the dummy module because it can not be modified after the module has
been loaded. This is a big problem when users need to add additional
dummy devices to a running system (and I can attest myself that there
are real use cases for this).
Please do not remove features for which there are no alternatives.

And anyway this will obviously break existing configurations, so at
least the option should have been deprecated with a warning message for
a full release cycle.
I am amazed that such a change got merged, do other distributions care
about not breaking their users' system or do you just believe that it
is easier to reinstall a server than to upgrade it to a new major
relase?
