stackdepot: Thoughts on increasing DEPOT_MAX_POOLS?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi there,

I'm running a 6.12 kernel with KASAN enabled and it's triggering the
WARN in depot_init_pool():

  Stack depot reached limit capacity
  WARNING: CPU: 37 PID: 514186 at lib/stackdepot.c:252
stack_depot_save_flags+0x787/0x840

Has anyone ever discussed increasing the number of stack depot pools
or making it configurable? Our workloads do a lot of network
processing so the stacks can get quite deep and varied and we can
definitely spare more than the 128MiB currently allocated for stacks
in the name of better KASAN testing.

Thanks,
Matt
