Sure, I'll send out v3 in a bit addressing your comments:

- change ' if (args->fixed_alignment >= PUD_SIZE)' to '== PUD_SIZE'
- consistently use align-with-function-open-parenthesis for header and calls
- remove redundant if() brackets
