Please feel free to give it a shot with the two backport series to see whether
you spot any issue with it so far.

It seems like a normal cherry-pick without any extra changes around (please correct me if I'm wrong),
so I've already added that to our internal kernel builds and so far I did not spot any issues
(but as the issue does not happen frequently, I can't confirm if it is really fixed but I trust Hugh
that he identified that as the commit that should fix it).

Anyhow, I'll keep looking around and let you know if I spot anything :)
