This is apparently under both CONFIG_SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP and
CONFIG_MEMORY_HOTPLUG #ifdefs.  It errors out at compile-time with this

I didn't see a quick fix other than #ifdef'ing the call sites, which is
pretty ugly.
