In the meantime we have found that the problem is reproducible by building the kitinerary package. The crash happens when cmake starts the build. It's not impossible that other packages are able to also trigger the crash, but we haven't identified them yet. Anyway, I have been able to test a backport of the patch onto the 5.10 kernel (with minor adjustments) and I confirm it fixes the reported issue.
