Is there a reason why you are not using TEST_ASSERT for these checks?
The memory will get cleaned up when the test process exits, so there's
no need to do the careful error handling and goto statements.

(This applies throughout this whole test.)

Consider setting the default to something higher so people running
this test with default arguments get more test coverage?
